Inspect before using the medical pendant

Medical pendant is an indispensable gas supply medical equipment for modern operating room. Its main function is to supply oxygen, absorption, compression and other medical gases in the operating room. It is recognized by healthcare professionals because of its superior performance. However, we should do the inspection before using it, so that we can be prepared.

Pre-inspection work of medical pendant:

1.       Check if all the parts of the PICU pendant are intact. Sometimes, when transporting or storing, due to the accumulation of products, the structure will be deformed. Be sure to check before installation, do not ignore the problem of deformation and damage, otherwise it will easily collapse or break due to improper force when used.

2.       Check that each bracket is complete and ensure that no items are missing, including instrument platform, drawers, infusion stand, sundries, etc. Although the lack of these parts does not have a great impact on safety, but when using EICU pendant, if these parts are missing, it will cause inconvenience to doctors and nurses.

3.       To carry out the pressure test. The job is to check whether the gas in the hospital pendant is sealed and whether there is air leakage. If there is any, repair or replace it in time, otherwise it will bring great safety hazards.
