Due to the high illumination requirements of the operating room, the installation position of the lamps is often limited by the number and location of the air outlets and other equipment. This is not only asked to meet the high illumination, but also the number of lamps should be limited to the appropriate range, and the energy consumption of the operating room air conditioner should be taken into consideration. The heat of the bulb should be as small as possible. It is recommended to use LED light source. Since the LED is cold light source, there is almost no temperature rise in the room, the patient has no uncomfortable feeling, and the risk of dehydration caused by the light source is avoided. In addition, it can also reduce the energy consumption of indoor air conditioners properly; the general light CRI of the operating room should be close to natural light, preferably between 4000 and 5000K, usually with a color rendering index of Ra90.
General lighting in the operating room should not use traditional magnetic ballasts, operating light powered by conventional magnetic ballasts will be strobed due to AC power. Doctors perform surgery under this ever-changing stroboscopic light source. The visual system needs to constantly adjust the size of the eyeball pupil to ensure the stability of the retina illumination and imaging clarity. Long-term work will inevitably make the pupil sphincter fatigue due to excessive use. It will have an adverse effect on the surgery and will also cause some damage to the doctor's vision.
The AC electronic ballast is a new type of rectifier composed of rectification and filtering, high frequency oscillation and rectifier coil protection circuit. Since the power frequency is greatly increased to 55 kHz, even 80 kHz, 100 kHz super audio, the flicker frequency of the surgery light is correspondingly increased to the area where the human eye is not sensitive, which alleviates the stroboscopic effect. At the same time, the buzzer interference is completely eliminated, the power consumption is greatly reduced, and the power factor of the operation lamp is improved. Electronic ballasts have great advantages at low voltages, but unfortunately, the ultra-high frequency also brings another adverse effect, that is, electromagnetic interference generated by high-frequency oscillations, that is, said that the higher the power frequency, the more serious the electromagnetic radiation phenomenon. With the development of modern medical technology, the precision electronic medical equipment used in the operating room is increasing. The electromagnetic interference influence of many electronic ballasts on the normal use of these devices cannot be ignored. For example, in cardiothoracic surgery, when the patient installs pacemaker, it may also be dangerous due to electromagnetic interference.
In summary, to solve these two problems, it is recommended to use LED light source medical light, LED working mode is driven by external or built-in power supply, no ballast is needed, so the problem of strobo can be effectively solved, the good quality LED lamp can almost achieve no stroboscopic; In addition, the use of high-end isolated power supply can effectively reduce the electromagnetic interference of the lamp for precision instruments and prolong its life.
